The Lupus Foundation of Southern Arizona. Inc. was founded in 1978 to support and educate the Lupus Community. The Lupus Foundation is a non-profit healthcare agency supported solely by local donations and fundraisers.
Our mission is to provide support, education and referrals to those affected by lupus. We are here to promote the enhancement and development of health and social welfare at a local level assisting individuals with lupus. We fulfill this mission through self-help classes, support groups, and many educational programs, Social Security Disability counseling, health fairs and speaking engagements. The Foundation has a lending library which provides books, audio and videotapes on lupus and other mixed connective tissue illnesses.
