Living with Lupus Support Group

The next Living with Lupus Support Group will be Wednesday, June 21st at 10am. This session will be presented by guest speaker Tamara Michelle, the paraplegic that "Stands Up".

Tamara's story is a remarkable one. She was separated from her parents when she was 10 months old, after an episode of domestic violence. She spent the rest of her childhood in foster care, finally earning a Bachelors in Elementary Education from the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York. She has taught elementary school, coached wheelchair basketball and is now a motivational speaker. She has mentored thousands of children from different backgrounds. Tamara believes in the power of Faith and Resiliency as a way of life.

Tamara's talk will include the following topics:

- Understanding Your Insurance

- Communication
